Become a Camp Koala Volunteer!
Volunteering at Camp Koala is easy, fun, and can have a huge impact in a grieving child's life. We welcome people of various backgrounds, professions, and life experiences to contribute to the unique experience of our camps and support groups.
For the safety of our campers, all volunteers must apply (here!) and pass required background checks as well.

Featured Volunteer Positions
Big Buddy
Every Camper at our overnight camps gets paired with an adult who shares a similar experience of loss. This model of companionship is key to our philosophy of supporting grieving youth.
Junior Buddy
Our Junior Buddies have all been to camp before. They help first-time and nervous Campers realize they're not alone in their journey, and that it's OK to just be a kid again at Camp.

Group Leader
Our year-round Support Groups wouldn't be possible without a leader. Support Group leaders, or co-leaders, are trained on basic Camp Koala curriculum and lead groups in conversation, activity, and connection.
Gala
Every spring, Camp Koala hosts our very popular Camp Koala Gala in our hometown of Mifflinburg, PA. Our Gala volunteers help us plan the event, gather silent auction donations, and much more!
